M2 Ingredients opens US organic functional mushroom growing facility

Functional mushroom specialist M2 Ingredients has officially opened its mushroom growing facility in the US city of Vista, CA.

The 155,000 sqft facility will be responsible for the cultivation of all 10 of its premium organic mushrooms, including turkey tail, cordyceps, lion's mane and reishi.

It will operate around the clock, meaning that the site will be able to fulfil customer orders rapidly, while also ensuring there is a consistent supply of each species.

M2 Ingredients will also have expert mycologists on hand at the site to assist in product development and formulation, ensuring the best results for formulators working with the ingredients.

Product development experts will also work at the site, who are on hand to help customers create high quality mushroom-based products efficiently.

According to the company, all mushrooms produced at the site are also tested for purity and potency at the BRCGS AA+ certified facility.

M2 Ingredients currently works with brands across the food and beverage industry, as well as supplement brand and pet food companies worldwide.
